Swiss International Air Lines has decided to lay off 165 of itīs pilots.
All pilots involved will receive their letter of notice this week, nevertheless they are told by their respective fleet management that they can continue to work for the remainder of their notice period which is 6 months.
It seems quite strange to me that a company would continue to employ pilots who have been made redundant. But then, little to nothing within Swiss (Switzerland) is done according to industry (international) standards anyway.
Can the rest of the
international aviation community shed some light on this issue ?
