I think ORK - DUB twice daily with Flybe's dornier 328 aircraft would work very well also and would allow people living in the Cork area to connect to Dublin's range of transatlantic services.
If there was a market don't you think that Aer Lingus would have Aer Arran doing it for them?

Big business may not be cost sensitive but most passengers are.

In 2008 the figure of 220 million was mentioned as the debt in Cork.

Does anyone know with any accuracy what the current situation is?

The DAA are holding them back
Every airport seems to be convinced that someone else is out to get them but I feel its not so simple.

The DAA are only hanging around because the money borrowed to refurbish Cork airport is still listed on their books. And they want their money back.

The final figure will be a political decision.
