Surely stand space at LHR, in particular T5, is maxed out even without these new arrivals?
Regardless of any additions to BA's fleet, the number of arrivals and departures at Heathrow, and hence the requirement for stands/gates, has stayed pretty constant over the last few years, other than the effect of closing T2 (which will of course be alleviated when the new terminal opens next summer).
