[RANT]How do you get a FAA certificate and not learn what it takes to keep it current?[/RANT]

That being said, it's going to depend on what rules you're operating under. 61.58 says you need a PC in the type in question in the last 24 months and a PC in a type that requires a type within the last 12 months. When you last flew it does not matter except that you don't have 3 TOs & landings in the last 90 days. If your last 767 PC was in November of 11 and you completed a PC in a DC-3 in November of 12 you could crank up and go around the pattern three times without people or freight in back and you'd be legal till the end of November. There's a reason the FAA frowns on the operation of large turbojets under part 91.

Part 125 says you have to have recurrent GS and a PC within the last 12 months.
