Cityjet is an established player at LCY with a known brand and the sales and distribution infrastructure of a big airline behind them, and they couldn't compete with BA's dominance of the UK corporate market.
What gives you the idea that any other carrier could somehow break into the EDI-LCY market successfully where Cityjet has failed after 6 years of trying?
Airline planners take risks which don't always come off, but they are not generally
that stupid.
