Oliver Jaycock, general manager, marketing, for London Luton Airport told a business meeting in Leighton Buzzard on Thursday that part of the reason so many people drive to the hub is the currently limited rail service from London.
He said he felt it would make a difference if there was a reliable and frequent service 24 hours a day.
What is he talking about. There are already at least 7 trains an hour in each direction plus a service that runs through the night. What needs to be sorted out is the delays caused by fare collectors on the shuttle bus. When the service was free many passengers got to the terminal quicker as the just hopped on a bus without have to queue up.
