You are right in saying that Indian DGCA in 2006 stopped issuing Indian RTR against Stand Alone foriegn FRTOL unless the applicants PASSED Part-1 of INDIAN RTR EXAM. Therefore there are pilots like me who have Indian RTR issued against foreign FRTOL after passing Indian RTR Part-1 Exam.
My UKFRTOL expires in May 2014.
1. Indian CPL(H)
2. '"stand alone " UK FRTOL obtained on the basis of tests conducted by Mr GA Dobson in 2004 and it expires on 28 May 2014.
3 English proficiency Level 5 endorsed on my Indian CPL(H) valid till 2017
5 I have over 800 hrs of flying in last 36 months

I intend to send application for renewal of UKFRTOL which is expiring on 28 May 2014 along with following documents
1. SRG 1106
2. Certified copy of UK FRTOL
3. Certified copy of Passport
4 Certified copy of flying log book as evidence of 30 hrs of flying in preceding 36 months
5 Certified copy of Indian CPL(H) showing English proficiency Level 5 endorsed on my Indian CPL(H) valid till 2017
6 Proof of payment as per Scheme of Charges
I enquire
1. Are the abovementioned documents enough for renewal ?
2. Do I need English proficiency Level 6 or my Level 5 valid till 20017 will do?
3. Can I apply for renewal 5 months in advance of expiry date? I need this since I need to apply for renewal of Indian RTR after renewing UK FRTOL
4 What is the processing period at CAA after receipt of application for renewal

Kindly advise
