Not having travelled through Heathrow for a long time, Am I right in thinking that the easiest and most convienent way to get from Terminal 5 to Terminal 1 is still on the Heathrow Express?

The train is probably the easiest, especially with luggage: down in a lift, no barriers to negotiate, free ride, then up in a lift.
The bus is also free but not so easy with luggage, plus you're exposed to the weather and the traffic.
Didn't know that the tube was also free on the airport, is that quite a recent development?
