It's the rule ,that's it, much like you need a work visa. Your employer is your sponsor and you deal with their rules , if you don't like don't work for them. As stated before you knew the rules befor joining and if you didn't , then who's fault is that.
Also. This is the ME and there are many many rules for expats that you have no choice but to follow.
