August 2013

Second highest monthly figure but still 30000 short of 2008.

One million pax in a month in double figures.

Air India BHX-DEL-ATQ 7391 with 36 rotations gives 205 pax per flight and a configuration of 256 seats equals a load factor of 80%.

Considering the lead-in was one of the shortest I have ever seen for long-haul I wonder what money went in the till?

Dubai 46565 up 15% not too far from the all time high. 376 pax per flight and as some three class still operated in the early part of the month a load factor of 91%, which is remarkable.

Turkish to Istanbul was up 26% but a modest 117 pax per flight at around 75% load factor.

Newark breached 10K with 10002 up from 9567. Average 161 at 95%!!!!

Turkmenistan dropped from 5597 to 3976 which is just 117 per flight.

Islamabad was up 17% at 7914 but still only around 71% load factor.

BMIR - improvement. Billund 1031 at 26 per flight 53%, Toulouse 1094 at 25 per flight 51% and Gothenberg 1198 at 27 pax or 56%.

Lyon with flybe 4616 at 59 per flight, 79% load factor.

Domestic - easyjet Belfast record 15697 average 138 pax 88% load factor.
Flybe BHD went from 27780 to 23714 so not too bad.

LDY 7012 at 159 per flight or 84% load factor.

Overall some of the highest load factors seen and it would seem that some routes could have done with more seats but I suppose most airlines (other than FR) want to see more than a one month wonder. Slaughtered by EMA on ALC, AGP, PMI and FAO.

Well done to EMA nearly 600K.
