We are not here to serve you water !!- RJ CC.

Often we pilots get to travel to far corners of this planet, sometimes requiring us to travel in airlines other than the ones we work for.
Many of us would have experienced varying types of onboard service quality
and flying experience. At a time when global airlines are going over board to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction here is one experience that I encountered yesterday unlike any I have ever heard of before.

Regular flyers would have had an incident or bad experience once in a while but what I got to experience was a complete package.

Airline: Royal Jordanian.

Flight No.: RJ 192.

Date: 11 Sep 2013.

Route: Amman - New Delhi.

Class of travel: Coach.

Type of Aircraft: Airbus A319.

Incident 1.

While boarding and proceeding to my assigned seat I notice it to be occupied.

I inform a jordanian male cabin crew member who points to empty seats in the

back and says " You go sit any where all seats same seats".

I was shocked at the rude reply but didnt really care so I just picked a seat

for myself.

Incident 2.

While serving the dinner. One cabin crew member pushes the trolley to hit

the other cabin crew member on his butt and does it repeatedly and he

seems to be enjoying his act. In the process one of the CC ends up spilling

red wine on me and what astonishes me more is the fact that both of them

start laughing.

When I ask them to be more careful in a stern voice one of the CC responds

saying "OK OK easy No problem".

Incident 3

One of the pax seated infront of me (Quiet an old man) requested for a

vegetarian meal to which the CC replied " I dont have vegetarian you have to

eat chicken fish or beef." The poor old man ended up eating just a slice of

bread and butter.

Incident 4 and the best of it all..

A young gentleman seated next to me presses the Flight Attendant call

button to which no one turns up for 10 minutes. Unassumingly he presses it

again and asks for water. One of the CC turns up to the seat and says " WE

WILL NOT SERVE YOU WATER HERE. IF YOU ARE THIRSTY YOU COME BACK

AND FETCH IT YOURSELF. ALSO DONT PRESS THIS BUTTON (FA CALL

BUTTON) IT IS AN EMERGENCY BUTTON AND DISTURBS US. "

To which I interfere and positively Identify myself and suggest that they do

a water service instead of arguing with the passengers to which the Purser

CC replies " YOU DONT TEACH ME MY JOB."

Thats it. I have had enough for this flight. Despite identifying myself as an

airman, I was not shown even the slightest of respect or courtesy.

After landing I demand to meet the captain. The same Purser replies

"CAPTAIN IS VERY BUSY HE CANT MEET YOU."

I quietly walked away in disbelief and silence.

I am not a person who complains of lack of service. All I am requesting for

from RJ is a basic human courtesy.

I would really appreciate if I could get some contact in RJ not to file any

complaint against any one but to provide them with some constructive

criticism so as to emphasize the value of humanity.

Sorry for the long rant. Cheers.

Ps. All the above incidents involved RJ Male Cabin Crew . Also a very good landing by the flight deck .
