Would the robots be less likely to crosswire the engine fire extinguishers and other systems?
Would they drill the 737NG bearstraps and fuselage hoops better than the sub-contractors?
With their memories programmed with the behaviour of batteries various and if they were allowed into the design conference(s), would they pass the installation of Li-Ion batteries as a main power source for an electric plane?! Maybe more likely in that case they'd pop their CBs and refuse to play any more?
It might indeed improve the final product, but all the unemployed humans would be out of a job, and therefore unable to afford the fares to fly in the 'frames made by the robots. So we now have to program the robots to pay and fly to exotic hotspots and lie in the sun til their microprocessors overheat and they become useless. Then homo (not quite sapiens) erectus would have to step in and take over again.
And then I woke up after this awful dream.
