This is very interesting as I have a similar issue in that I have the FAA Legacy Type and just completed the EASA theory, medical etc.. and all that's left to complete it is a Sim check to complete the conversion.
I have a contact who use to be a instructor at FS and CAE who is also looking into the options in the US.
He mentioned to me to see if Canada have any EASA authorized sims.
If anyone figures it out and wants to share a sim let me know it may be cheaper.
