Believe it or not I do very much enjoy the USA bound flights, but as far as I am aware anything near 16 hours heading that direction involves a 48 hour layover does it not? I guess the shorter east coast flights may only be 24 hours, depending on fatigue, but lately, anything that involves more concentrated bouts of work that maximises my days off makes me happy.
