Getting a degree?
Right firstly I know I'm going to get plenty of people saying DONT bother getting a degree, its a waste of money and time, but I would attend a Scottish university where we don't pay tuition fees and I would need a back up if I were to fail my medical for example. Ideal situation would be to go to Glasgow or Strathclyde University and do Aeronautical Engineering but I don't feel that I am going to get in. So I have been told why not do a degree like Civil or Mechanical Engineering which I have a better chance of getting into and then go do my ATPL. What one would you recommend I do? Presuming I complete the degree and then at the end of it apply for CTC/OAA, would this still look really good if I were to apply for them or is it not recommended that i do a degree in either of them?
