Turned out to be a nice fly-in. About 30 degrees for the Saturday. Didn't stay for the Sunday but there was rain. Several Stearmans were there. Just as I was arriving and walking along the very inclined grass runway, one Stearman that was just climbing out chopped the power from perhaps 75 feet and landed on the steep uphill incline. It was a fairly firm landing and it looked like he almost scraped both wingtips but I think it was just close. Turned out to be a couple of wet spark plugs so maybe there was some roughness.

Airplanes were flying all day. There was a real Storch that flew in and a JU-52 did a low and over a couple of times. Lots of Jungman's as well. And a Max Holste Broussard that did several very noisy takeoffs. It doesn't seem to have all the extra mufflers and whatever else the government likes you to install for noise reduction. I would say about 50 different aircraft were there but maybe not all at the same time.

Finished off with a nice tour of the nearby traditional central portion of the town of Limburg and a couple of other diversions. Nice layover again.
