No not directly, there were some from CTC this time around but part of the FOMP, ( fleet operations modernisation programme) was that Thomson will start its own cadet programme. It will allow the choice of get paid a full wage but pay back the type rating costs or receive a reduced wage but pay back nothing essentially. It will also allow Thomson to guarantee the training those people will receive, from sim to line training.

There were some issues with people coming from CTC, generally good people but not all. I did have the chance to fly with some of them myself as a safety pilot and my feelings are very mixed on CTC to produce a good enough pilot.

I'm not saying that those in CTC will not be used but if they apply on their own free will then they will have a chance like any other.
