Ok the sensible reply is as follows. Basically there is a plan to squeze us siggies into 12 route operating centres. The one for the Wessex area is being built at BSK, and on the agenda are:
Rostering; facilities; workload...actually basically everything. Who knows the next step is to have us on individual contracts with an attempt to sell collective bargining rights down the river. Now we keep on being lectured as to how we should be following our ATC comrades in terms of handover, voice comms, being good team players and the rest. Sadly the visit does not include anybody from the shop floor, but that is to be expected really. Anyway make em welcome and don't forget to gently remind them that if they want us to be ATC equivalents then start talking cash ;-)....
