All this talk of the R22s demise and little 2 seaters popping up like mushrooms, an interesting world.
Especially when you consider how many light helicopters are now being produced in one way or another in China. When contacted, an industry expert in Germany told me that some regional governments in China were not concerned about how many units they sold just if they get the experience for building and testing helicopters. He believed it was part of a national plan to enter bigger helicopter production in the future.

Deck landing trials in progress

As a helicopter landed firmly on the flight deck of the warship on August 6, China's new-type guided missile frigate "Bengbu" completed its helicopter landing training successfully.

Helicopter landing training needs to overcome the complex weather effects. The vessels must work with helicopters with precision, which poses higher demands for the commander. Field command Captain Huang Xuxian said that all the officers and soldiers onboard the warship had conducted special studies to develop more than 10 kinds of helicopters ship-surface security plans and contingency plans for handling the landing situation, and they soon mastered the helicopter landing training's procedures and points.

Guided by the tower and deck commanders' guidance, the helicopter landed on the flight deck. Furthermore, the ship organized many training subjects, including refueling, helicopters traction, rescue coordination of ships and planes and missile attacks under the guidance of helicopters.
