A large portion of the 955 unemployed Malaysian pilots are unemployed because they can't fly and have failed the interview multiple times. Not my words, this came from a trainer at AK a few years ago.
Nice to see that common sense, quality of training and airmanship skills come second to passport colour (again) although I doubt their resolve will last long once the press & certain DCA officials loose interest. Most expat captains are on permanent local contracts anyway!
