The garages alongside were also part of the property and at least one kit car was built there by ULAS students in my time ( 69-72). The 206 location was part of the quirky, privileged and much appreciated ethos of ULAS in the middle of the then "swinging London". Unique times ,unique people.
We were " students "
, and ( some of us) as permanently commissioned officers were getting the equivalent of a student grant a month, plus free membership of the finest Flying Club in the world.
Unforgettable.
