As already stated, any US pilots participating in the experimental C-series program, will return. Considering where I live in the US we have several hockey teams of Canadian pilots, cross-border travel is sometimes one-way, they all have green cards.
Both governments have to review any visa applications and renewals; this might be a political problem, rather than a pilot one.
