Transfer of type/class ratings from a non-jaa state licence

I expect to fly on EASA licence.
I wanted to be sure because the price difference is huge when you compare FAA and EASA.
My only solution is to do an EASA type rating since Im not gonna jump on an CPL FAA course.
As for the CAA, Im still waiting for them to answer me .......
