According to a team member I spoke to it was not their wish but a decision of the RIAT display organisers. Many punters were still trying get in at this stage and probably didn't get the view they wanted.
Thankyou, there were still many thousands of visitors still trying to get in, stuck in traffic etc, so to put one of the main draws so early was a big disappointment to many. A shame really

Why would they need one at Fairford I wonder ?
Will they be based there in the future as are the 'other' such aircraft ?
