Also surprised by June performance considering it was a very wet and cool month - usually the effect is last minute rush for getaways.

Re Aer Lingus, I thought it was official that this is now becoming a summer only service?

Re BOH's negative track record with keeping airlines other than Ryanair or Bucket and Spade style getaways i'm afraid it must be something to do with the access to the airport and the proximity of Southampton airport for high frequency, city break/business style routes.

The ONLY services that have a chance at Bournemouth and causing a dent at SOU are the LCC style flights of Ryanair, easyJet and others.

Full service carriers, even those regional lcc's just don't have the ability to get fares low enough to make bournemouth attractive enough for the critical mass which is required.

B'mth should be concentrating on building it's LCC portfolio and also it's relationship with Ryanair. Ryanair know that BOH is a basket case without them, and are 'playing them' as such.
