Phileas - I agree that the Gower peninsula is lovely - even as a snotty teenager I remember thinking "this is really quite nice here". There are of course plenty of other nice bits in south Wales like Brecon beacons.
I'm not quite sure I understand your point about Swansea and Aberporth airports. Could you perhaps clarify what you're trying to express specifically in relation to Swansea and Aberporth airports ?
