If you saw a helicopter then it's not a UFO because you've identified it as a helicopter. The clue is the bit after the 'Un'
As for its dark/black appearance, if it was so far away to make out, any helicopter at that distance would be dark/black.
Please post the pics or even draw a picture, from your description it's quite distinctive, we might be able to identify this WTFFO.
