Battery located in aft electronics bay wherever that is?
The APU battery is aft, but beneath the main cabin floor. Its doubtful that a fire at that location, reaching the top of the fuselage would do such localized damage.
There are other subsystems with their own batteries, such as emergency lighting. Those are located in various other places, possibly near this damage. But I think its too early to blame a battery yet.
