I do not own a Mac hence unsure if this is the problem you chaps are having, but happy to try to help out. There is some discussion
here which may be relevant, especially if you are using Preview and not the actual Adobe Reader - the short answer appears to be to download AR and open the file with that, with further investigation possibly required if that does not resolve the problem.
