I said exactly that in the letter I submitted to my desk officer explaining why I turned down my PAS offer. It appears to me that future FRIs etc are being held back because some people believe a manning problem doesn't exist since the airlines aren't recruiting. In my particular little sphere of operations (FJ QFI world) guys are walking in their droves into well paid jobs outside of the Airlines. Unless I can be persuaded otherwise (I'm afraid I'm now shallow enough that it'll take money to keep me) I'll become a mercenary and go where the money's good.
