B727 undershoot accident at Pohnpei, Micronesia May 2008. NTSB report needed
16 May 2008 and an Asia Pacific Airlines Boeing 727 freighter crashed short of the runway while landing at Pohnpei Airport, Micronesia.
Can anyone give me a link to the final NTSB Accident report on this accident, please? I have had no luck in finding the report so far. Back in the 1980's I used to fly a 737 into Pohnpei (then called Ponape) and am interested in the circumstances of this accident.
There was a similar accident at Ponape in 2001 but I don't know what type of aircraft was involved on that occasion.
The 2008 727 undershoot accident sounded similar to the Asiana 777 accident at SFO.
