You miss the key points which are:
1. They completed the mission.
2. It did not take 10 aircraft to do it.
3. No friendlies killed.
4. Even though hit by major weapons the damaged aircraft self recovered.
As Ospreys do not have intermeshing rotors this shows why they are more survivable than a Chinook.
