Alloy/mesh - all this sounds promising for a bit of ongoing recruitment over the next few months! It hasn't been a secret though that the A300s have been getting a bit long in the tooth for a while - and in need of replacement.
Mesh - I still reckon there'll be some long haul in the future, although to what extent I don't know. If (and it's a really really big IF!), I do succeed on getting into monarch, I'll gladly buy you a beer if I'm wrong!!
On a separate note, is there any reason why Monarch would opt for Boeing of bombardier over airbus? (Cost aside!) - I guess it would make sense to keep the fleet as a single family series? Mind you, the sales pitch of the C-series seems to be winning over a few at the moment.
No doubt all will come clear come September!
