Those were the good 'ol days when EI used to operate like that years back, I remember particularly as a youngster being on EI889 from Malaga to Cork we left Malaga at 4:40AM! and were scheduled to arrive in Cork for 6:30AM. I remember we were early because of a strong tailwind and we had to hold over Kinsale for the airport to open!
Can't see those days returning though, the Malaga flight used to be off to Heathrow then at 7:30AM, the outbound flight to Malaga used to leave at 11:55PM arriving at 3:40AM after doing a days flights to/from Heathrow. Aer Lingus certainly did work those 737's.
