Lightbulb We are the 6th! Miraculous start of the end?

Cx ranked no.4 in 2010, 2011, 2012.. And 6th in 2013 world's airline? Good job! However, we were not congratulated on this remarkable 6th! Mysteriously cabin service voted top one. Even better than ANA and Asiana? You start to wonder. Don't forget, cabin staff of cx was only no.9 last year! What do you think? Anyone who makes enough money are smart enough to know.

If cabin staff is so good, why are we overall dragged down to 6th? Even worse than past 4 years? So something must be wrong here. Either one polling system reflects the truth and the other doesn't?

Side story, It is not an industry secret that people are hired online as part of "Reputation Management" for big companies to cast votes. Hong Kong is well known for what they call 打手, hiring people to vote and advertise online as anonymous customers (across many industries). The voting system is flawed, same person can vote multiple even hundreds of times without identifying themselves. It is also a 2min bubble clicking survey that doesn't require much time - because i did the survey myself! The said link was also "advertised" on its very own FB page. Nevertheless, one of our very own Top Ten reminded me to fill in the survey before the deadline ends.

Just so surprisingly after numerous scandals, coffee throwing threatens and mass demonstration + protest in worldwide news (threatening no smile), existing pax complaining of declining service (see previous notorious thread) miraculously voted top one from no.9? Even better than wonderfully polite Japanese and Korean airline staff? Woah! An attempt to cast "reputation management" efforts and rescue the image? To boost morale of staff actually having their pay cut? To change the public's impression of the previous demanding protests by cabin staff? From no.9 to no.1 within a year amongst all scandals and media attention of protests and industry threatenings? What do you think? Please enlighten me! For I hold no claim to the "transparent" online voting bubbles.

Well, Microsoft did it with its hired voters on reddit and was exposed by its own staff this month.
