You were correct, the Trident 3 had different crosswind limits, depending on which side the wind was from.
30 kts from the right, but only 25 kts from the left.
No one seems to know why, but several did comment that it was more difficult to handle with a crosswind from the left.
General opinion is that it was a restriction that came out of the flight test program.
