Hi guys,
Intending to convert my license. I want to try to make this short.
I hold a frozen JAR ATPL about 770hrs TT = CPL/IR/MEP/MCC which does not exist in the US as we all know.
I can't go for ATPL in the US because I am too young at this stage, so intend to go for stand alone CPL/IR/MEP.
At this stage a have a validation based on foreign license incl. FAA Medical Class 1 and papers to be handed in at FAA for my SIC on CE525.
My understanding is, that the process would be as followed:
1. IFPS = Instrument Foreign Pilot Test (30 Questions)
2. Written CPL (80 Questions)
3. Oral exam
4. Checkrides for IR, CPL and MEP
Is that correct?
Any recommendations which study books to use? Gleim Aviation? If so, which products of Gleim because there are just so many.
Flying part - where to be done? Florida? As much as I know plenty of German speaking flight schools there.
Appreciate your help, also via PM if someone has a special suggest etc.
Many thanks,
Alex
