All robust observations gentlemen and many good points.

I guess it is all up to how JB wants to run his business, there could be many different models to consider for flight crew wishing to join the Virgin group.

1. Join as a direct entry EMB 190 FO
2. Join as a direct entry 737 FO
3. Join as a direct entry A330 FO
4. Join as a direct entry 777 FO
5. Join as a direct entry F50 FO
6. Join as a direct entry ATR FO
7. Join as a direct entry F100 FO
8. Join as a direct entry A320 FO

of course then there is the cadet path where you could;

1. Join as a cadet FO on the EMB 190
2. Join as a cadet FO on the 737
3. Join as a cadet SO on the A330
4. Join as a cadet SO on the 777
5. Join as a cadet SO on the F50
6. Join as a cadet FO on the ATR
7. Join as a cadet FO on the F100
8. Join as a cadet FO on the A320

of course then one must consider would it be possible to transfer between all the different types,

EMB 190 to 737?
ATR to EMB 190?
F50 to ATR?
777 (SO) to F50 FO?
A320 to 737?
F100 to ATR?
Ad infinitum..

I think that those waiting on the hold file for Virgin have nothing to worry about, I have heard from a mate that JB himself has said that he values very highly the experience that is there and will personally see that they all get positions somewhere in the group as talent like that should not be passed over.

Interesting times ahead
