Let's hope this will not be not a repeat of the recent Belleville boot debacle. You know, the one where a random chap at Linton was asked to trial the boot's airworthiness potential before it was released to the rest of the UK's military aircrew (allegedly the 'trial' could have involved a quick before lunch full and free check - just saying...). Subsequently the design was apparently rejected, after its introduction to service, for various reasons - from the we fear change "the boot's sole is too stiff for my sensitive feet" to the more worthy flight safety related "my foot got jammed in the yaw pedal and scared me" reasons. I hope that this new boot will not be another example of glossy brochures, reality and a lack of thorough testing all failing to protect the end-user.

No apostrophes were hurt during the making of this diatribe...
