Am trying to think of the Aussies I met in PNG who flew in 'Nam' .. David Earley yes (perhaps even the UH1 .. not sure) and Mal Smith also .. but I don't know what he flew.
According to SASless the UH1's were US Army .. I did wonder how the Aussie's had managed to receive a consignment of Hueys when Bell were shipping everything they had off to the conflict.
Can anyone tell me when the first UH1's were delivered to Aus? Who had them first, the Aussie Army or Air Force?
