John Smith, I applied, like many others, to see exactly what will be on offer if I prove to be successful.
For a major UK company to accept Non TR'd applicants is a step in the right direction. However, I believe there has been pressure from above (CAA, BALPA, government) regarding the current use of flexicrew as the situation becomes more public. (Some may suggest "pressure from below" more apt). Merely speculation on my behalf. But this recruitment drive is still geared towards taking flexicrew from CTC before any other applicants. Albeit with a permanent position (2yr contract) and the perks(haha) that go with it in exchange for less pay - flexicrew in sheep's clothing.
It would have to be nice offer for me to leave my jet command position overseas (bonded type rating).
