It was only when I pointed out one of our competitors price tags still stuck to the bottom that she relented - actually she stormed out saying it was ridiculous

In a former life, I was a travelling salesman (Rep)*....A car full of GLOBETROTTER suitcases....thrown around, humped about twice a year on the ferry to Dublin / Dunlaoghaire humped into hotels (and out again) for 12 shows a year...some of the cases were 30 years old,though I bought (at the company's expense) about 8 new ones.
Not elegant -tough fibre-board with rivetted-on moulded corners , paper-lined, totally utilitarian but would take anything you threw at (or in) them.
*got promoted from the retail-side to the wholesale.
