Fokker F27 lost in NW Pakistan
Pakistan Air Force Chief Mushaf Ali Mir was killed in an air crash in a mountainous area in the northwest frontier province, it was announced in Islamabad on Thursday.
Seventeen other PAF officers were also killed in the crash. The air chief was going to the city of Kohat in a Fokker aircraft when it crashed in Tolanj mountain in Gumbat area, some 35 km from Kohat city, where he was due to inspect an air base. According to the report, the plane crash was due to the bad weather conditions.
