While P2 time is definitely not the same as DUAL , I have seen many airline applications that add the P1 , P1 U/S and P2 to arrive at total time

So in the application form for Air Asia if a 200 hour CPL holder only fills 100 hours of PIC ( P1 ) time the airline might read that as only having logged 100 hours total time while shortlisting the candidates.

Hence the reason for the confusion....

In the application one has to mention Indian licence number and type. Since Indian CPL requires min 200 hrs it might be assumed that the applicants total flying time is min 200 hrs. P1 P1 US and P2 might just be there for them to shortlist on the basis of experience.
