I don't think the fact that replies are lighthearted is an excuse for bad spelling. Bad grammar I can handle as the writing style is informal. Also, occasional typos are fine as I have said. Of course, if I were you, I'd try to be perfect all the time as the airlines, BA included, are also reading this. (Saying that, I really ought to curtail my use of the work 'F***', and my fiery temperament.)

However, the 2 examples I commented on above were ones where the person obviously thought the word was spelt differently than it is, because the error was repeated. In one case the person was using entirely the wrong word. This is unlikely to be picked up by the person double-checking their application.

My bad language came about as a result of my anger at Dad's smug reply to my post, which invited criticisms. A simple "I've spotted one - you used 'and' at the start of a sentence", would have done. But no, he has to be nasty about it, thinking he's being clever. Doh!

PS.

Oh Dad, I just noticed, you used the 'f' word first, then you accused me of bad language! Cheeky!
