Audio Tests

Anyone with any info on the way the audio tests results are viewed by the Counter Aviation guys? Do they tend to be very rigid in the grounding and licence removal department as one's hearing subsides with age? Have always been aware one ear was worse than the other, but the last audio check had the doc shaking his head a bit, and prescribing a need for wax removal, and then a resit. I think he has 'fudged' the figures in the meantime, but certainly I could barely hear any the bleeps in one ear as opposed to quite a lot in the other. Have never had problems hearing anything over RT, or even hearing the financial requests from the fambly- but am a bit concerned.
Have to say the new method of the doc doing the tests was not quite the eggbox coated booth I have been used to at the local hospital, it didn't seem to have the decreasing volume and tone of 'groups' of bleeps as has been the case in the past; however clearly it must work for most people.
Any thoughts?? Pardon, speak up.........
