Word on the street is that you may never see recruitment directly into Virgin (E-Jet, B737) again. As the buy out of Skywest has opened up a whole new pool of internal candidates and pilots (200+) that are now within the Virgin Group and are potentially able to bid for E-Jet and B737 FO positions. The Virgin/Skywest Cadetship will also start to produce fruit in the next 6-12 months. So the entry level into Virgin looks like it may now be either the F50 or ATR.
