But does this mean that AA did not have any doubts about the plane at the time following the accident.

Did they subsquently accept that the cause was the alleged excessive rudder input?


Are the MD80s more cost efficient to keep flyimg while the Airbus was stored? There are pilots who still hold the view that there was a problem with the structural integrity. I remember AA pilots at the time expressing that view and being quoted as be unwilling to fly the plane though when the rudder input issue was subsequently factored in may have changed their minds. Perhaps AA are with the passage of time now satisfied. I don't kinow

I do recall that Laker flew the Airbus
