Could anyone here please say if this new EASA rating is to be renewed/revalidated like, say, an SEP(L) or an IR?
The rating does not need to be renewed or revalidated.
Are there any currency requirements to exercise the rating?
No.
Is there to be a Flight Test for the issue of the rating, or is it to be issued on the recommendation of an FTO.
Requirements listed at FCL.800. There is no requirement for a test; the course provider will have to sign a course completion certificate on your
Aerobatic Rating application form to the CAA. The AOPA syllabus contains an assessment of competence at the end of the course.
I understand grandfathering rights are being sorted.
