Don't worry about staying in the dorms, I'm sure it'll be ok, in the end not too many complain about it. I still think the RV in the campground is easily the best option but you need a couple of people to do it. On one of those blindingly hot days we'd go back to camp and fire up the air-con in the RV, mmmmm, home stay, Jaba's was damn good, it suited his circumstances way better and that's what it's about really. Based on what you have said the uni is far and away the best option for you
